SPRING TERM
We have started work on our next production, an adaptation of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
Don't worry - it's never too late to join. There will be roles for everyone, even mid-rehearsals as the way we work is that we create a truly unique ensemble piece where everyone has lots to do in the show.
Our students want to work on shows and that's basically what we do all the time!
We workshop a play from idea, character and plot. Our Creative Director, Sally Khan is also a playwright and she writes the shows around the students and the workshop sessions. These then get printed into professional script books, which each student receives at no extra cost.
The next few weeks are rehearsals, where everyone brings the show together and then it's performed in front of an audience.
NO PRESSURE
We are very relaxed and make sure we have a lot of fun in our sessions. We want our students to feel like their voice and ideas are valid. We care that they work as a team.
We don't put any pressure on our students to learn their lines. They can perform with their script books if they like.
Our shows are more like showcase productions. We want our students to feel confident on stage and perform without pressure.
